I was reading the last time I blogged on here and it was January or something of this year...it's now September 6th. Gee, what has the busy family of three been doing? Well, a lot...I'll have to blog about it later ; )

No, really. All I need is 20 more hours to a day, and I'd be set. Let's see, what have we done since October? Well, Christmas came and went, and before that was Thanksgiving. We have traveled to Kansas City and, of course, stayed around here. Here are just a few pics of our adventures in Kansas City.

It's the day before Halloween...

And here I sit with no voice. I have had a persistent cough for almost two weeks now. After taking medicine for four days that did nothing, I finally got to see my real doctor on Thursday. They did an EKG, a chest X-ray and blood testing, and all of it came back normal. But now I have no voice. I can barely speak at a whisper and I can't talk for very long without getting short of breath. Talk about frustrating.

So P has started to whisper, too. Isn't it funny how little kids pick up on how you are feeling and mimic you? They are almost like dogs with their sixth senses. I've tried hot tea, hot cocoa, hot coffee, rest, medicine, and cough syrup. Nothing seems to help or bring it back. I'm going back to the doctor on Monday to run more tests. Hopefully, they will find something soon. How do you operate your daily life being a SPEECH teacher, mom, wife and, all around, conversationalist without the ability of your voice? I'll keep you posted.

Library Time...

When we want a simple adventure, we head to our library to check out some books. There is a little play area and a great selection of books.

On this particular day (last Tuesday) we went to the doctor, he finally decided that he had a sinus infection and that he should be over it by Friday (yesterday). I think P is on the mend, and perhaps having some good books has helped.

It sounds callous, I realize, but really, what did we do before the iPhone?

Such a neat gadget. And don't even get me started on the iPad. Technology floors me. We are on day two away from school and mommy's work and we are sick but bored. Okay. Mommy is bored. P seems to be doing fine lounging in his undies, eating at the table watching his iPhone and enjoying some much needed R & R. This little series of characters that he watches on YouTube is known as Pocoyo (?). They only speak in Spanish. So are you asking yourself, "Does your son speak Spanish?"

No. He doesn't even know what they are saying. But he sure does seem to enjoy them. Laughing, nose running and all.

He looks like a chipmunk...poor sickly thing.

Welcome to Our Busy Life...

I have been half-ass blogging for almost three years now, and I knew I wanted to update people with our growing boy and busy lives, but I got sidetracked along the way. My "family" blog kind of went from a family blog to a ranting blog to a thought blog...so I have decided to pull in the reigns. In our little life, we are non-stop! And I hope to not only keep you posted about our lives but also make you laugh along the way. So, here goes:
